Bread worth getting up early for
Naturally leavened loaves, laminated pastry and layer cakes, baked through the night on Wickenden Street. Open Wednesday to Sunday from 7am.
On the counter every morning
Country sourdough
48-hour ferment with Maine-grown wheat and rye. $9 a loaf, sliced on request.
Croissants
Plain, almond and ham and gruyere, laminated with cultured butter. From $4.25.
Seasonal tarts
Rhubarb in May, peach in August, apple and brown butter in the fall.
Cakes for birthdays, showers and small weddings
Two-layer cakes start at $68 and serve 12. Flavors change with the season; vanilla bean with strawberry and chocolate with salted caramel are always available.
Please order at least five days ahead.
